Spilled Milk

I know you aren't supposed to cry over spilled milk but can you cry over spilled Cheerios? If I forget to put up the diaper bag Cora always manages to find her container of Cheerios and spill them all over her room. Luckily I have a Dyson that I love to vacuum with. Doesn't Cora seem satisfied with her hard work?

Safety 101

It would be safe to say leaving a ladder in a baby's room is a safety hazard. Well here at the Stott house we like to live on the edge. We feel in gives Cora the chance to practice good decision making. Luckily this time she only got to the first rung. Next time we hope she remembers the good feeling she had from making the right choice.

Bad Grandma Sue

This is what Cora looks like after a visit to Grandma Sue's house. Haley had made a great chocolate dessert and we all enjoyed some. However Cora was not supposed to enjoy. But I guess grandmas feel they can do whatever they want. Luckily we love Grandma Sue.

A sign you are missing something as a Mother.

Cora hasn't been feeling very well for the last few days. On Wednesday we had her all dressed up in the new sweatshirt Pete bought for her from California. As we were packing up to head out the door she threw up. Twice. It was really sad but we thought it was just because she choked on the pretzel we had given her earlier. But when she threw up in the aisles at Target and then again at our friends Jen and Jonathan we realized it was something more.

We took her home and I did my best to take care of her. But as you can I see I missed something. On Thursday she was in her room playing when it was silent for awhile. I assumed she was into something so I went to go check on her and this is what I found. She had dumped out her laundry pail and found something to snuggle with, her dirty towel. Obviously I missed the signs that she was completely pooped.

How cute are these shoes? And yes they are squeakers. They making walking so much fun for your little ones and make it so you know exactly where they are at.
So what is so exciting? I am going to have an open house in March. I will have them on hand so you can take them home that day. And the prices, cheap cheap cheap. They will be half of what they go for at the mall. More details coming soon.

Inspiring

With the passing of President Hinckley it has been comforting and uplifting to see so many people touched by him and his Presidency. Simply the sound of his voice has brought the spirit into my heart and brought me to tears. I found the above video on my friends blog and it brought a lot of emotions and tears to me today. It made me realize how little I am doing to better myself and how far I have to go to be like him. So today I am making a 2 goals that I think we help me get to where I aspire to be.

Goal #1 - Enlist and finish the Hinckley Challenge. I have a confession and it's not a great one. I have never completed the Book Of Mormon. This is embarrassing and sad to say I claim to have a testimony of it yet I haven't fully come to know it. So this is my goal. To finish the Book of Mormon by May 10th.

Goal #2 - Attend the Temple. I have a goal to make up for all the months lost while having an infant and excuses to not go to the temple. I will attend the temple 6 times in the month of February. I love the Temple and the feeling of peace. I love sitting with Pete in silence and feeling the spirit of the Temple. And I am grateful for 3 temples within 30 minutes.

Staying Strong

Do you see what stares me in the face everytime I open the pantry? Yes, a perfect portion cup of Oreos. This used to be a weekly/nightly treat. And I am proud to report I have not cracked. Not even a little. Surprisingly I haven't even been tempted. TAKE THAT JUSTIN!

Hopes and Wishes

I have been put in charge of organizing a 25 year wedding anniversary. Everything from the get-a-way to the present. This has led me to some amazing eye candy and has got me adding to my wish list. I thought I would help those of you wanting to get me a gift just for being me :)

This is a cute site that you can make personalized charms and pendants. I would love this little charm. But a C, of course. Add a little picture with that C and I am in heaven.

As you can see I want a necklace with sentimental charms. This way i can add those charms to my charm bracelet later on. This necklace came from Hella Good Products take a gander they have some very very cute things.

As I mentioned before I have a charm bracelet. This is actually my second as my first fell off in the halls of Canyon View Junior High (bad 3 years.) My current bracelet has a collection of charms from vacations, milestones in my life, and charms that were peculiar that I just had to have. Another wish is to have all of them charms soldered and secured onto my bracelet so that I have no fear of loosing them and I can wear it more.

I would love love a new jacket. I have been wearing a mean size medium North Face knock-off from China for last last 2 years. While it was great when I was large-with-child it's just not cutting it now. I feel like stay-puff.

My last wish I leave you with is a makeover. I want to copy Rachel Murray
and get a whole new look. As I have ponder this and as you all know have begged for a chop chop of my hair I have come to my senses. I don't want a chop chop I just want a change. So all I wish for is a good color and a pedicure. Then I can feel like a new woman.
